In the north of Madagascar, the Sambirano river runs down from the high plateaux to the rich alluvial plains below. Opposite the island of Nosy Be, on either side of the river, criollo and trinitario cocoa trees have been cultivated for decades, and have become acclimatized to this very particular terroir.
• Valrhona has carefully selected the plantations that produce the cacao beans that give Manjari its very singular taste.
• The rich soils encourage the release of the acidic notes of red berries and dried fruit that express the varied aromas of the atypical binitario from the north of Madagascar
